STOP THE TRAFFIK is disrupting the criminal business of human trafficking. We are prevention-focused and intelligence-led. We are currently looking for an intern to support our Prevention Team with research, administration/operations, and programme management.
At STOP THE TRAFFIK, we believe in stopping exploitation before it happens. Through the use of digital geotargeted adverts and social media campaigns, we work alongside local partners and NGOs to reach individuals who are actively targeted by traffickers for recruitment into modern slavery. Providing them with safety information on how to spot the signs of exploitation can prevent individuals from being trafficked in the first place, while also building resilient and risk aware communities.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct open-source research on a range of topics related to human trafficking, exploitation, and the communities we target
- Help create content for our social media campaigns focused on spreading safety information to people at-risk of trafficking
- Support with monitoring and evaluating our prevention programmes, helping track several relevant performance indicators
- Help build collaboration opportunities with various NGO partners to advance data sharing and in-country support
- Lead on various administrative tasks related to our prevention programmes
Person Specification:
- Passionate about human rights and anti-trafficking, with an understanding of how MSHT impacts vulnerable communities
- Familiar with content creation across a range of social media platforms with some experience of video editing highly desirable
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of tailoring languages to different audiences, and building trust
- Excellent time management, experience with prioritisation, and ability to juggle multiple tasks
- Adaptable with the ability to handle different types of tasks (research, content development, social media management etc.)
